This guide helps you understand how to use LinQ Explorer to build patient cohorts and analyze cohort data. Learn how to navigate the application and access key analytics features.
How to Create a Cohort
Follow these simple steps to create and analyze a patient cohort:

Go to Dashboard
Click on "Dashboard" in the sidebar to access the main cohort management screen. -
Click "+ New Cohort"
A popup will appear asking you to enter a name for your cohort. Enter a descriptive name and click Save. -
Define Inclusion Criteria
Add criteria that patients must meet to be included. Select from demographics, diagnosis codes, procedures, medications, lab results, or clinical notes. -
Add Exclusion Criteria (Optional)
After adding inclusion criteria, define conditions to exclude specific patients from your cohort. -
Click "Build"
Generate your cohort results. The system will calculate patient counts based on your criteria. -
Save and Analyze
Save your cohort, then use the "Analyze" icon in the All Cohorts Table to access deep analytics.
Key Analytics Features
After building a cohort, you can access the following analytics views by clicking the Analyze icon from the All Cohorts Table View:
Linked Cohort
View patient counts from multiple data sources in the Funnel visualization and understand data coverage across Closed Claims, Open Claims, EMR, and Labs.
Patient Demographics
Analyze patient population characteristics including age distribution, gender breakdown, race, and geographic distribution.
Line of Therapies
Explore treatment patterns and therapy progression using Sankey diagrams to understand how patients move through different treatment lines.
SOW (Statement of Work)
Submit data extraction requests for your cohort. Specify data sources, delivery preferences, and receive pricing information from our team.
